MINISO Make-Up Products | Beauty

Have you heard of the Japanese ‘MINISO’ brand?

I hadn’t before it arrived at Erin Mills Town Centre, but I love me some Japanese brands!

MINISO

I found that MINISO is a mix of the Japanese stores MUJI and One’s Better Living. Two of my favourite Japanese stores that offer lifestyle items at affordable prices. On paper, they all sound kind of the same – but trust me, they differentiate themselves from each other. Each store offers something uniquely “them” that have you coming back time and time again!

MINISO offers a selection of home, beauty, electronics, and accessories.

I was pleasantly surprised by the selection of items and it was a lot of fun browsing the shelves. The store is bright and welcoming – and neat which is a huge thing for me as I get older. I don’t have time to dig through racks and shelves for something I might want.

I’m always drawn to the beauty and stationery sections of a store first (of course). They had a small selection of journals, lots of electronic accessories (headphones, travel batteries, etc), toys, housewares, and accessories (handbags, sunglasses, jewelry).

I didn’t purchase anything but some make-up, as that’s truly all I needed.

Like all Japanese beauty lines, their packaging is minimal but cute. I found that it looks quite sleek and they have quite a full range of beauty products.

I picked up a loose powder since that’s all I use, but I was definitely intrigued by their CC creams and foundations. They might not have the biggest colour range but they do have some neat items worth checking out.

I also grabbed some brushes. These look quite nice and more expensive than they actually are. I got 2 eye brushes and a powder brush. I’m currently using a travel one and it’s just not really that nice to use. Plus it was cheap and has started to shed a bit.

The powder brush is so soft and makes applying the powder a breeze. I feel like the eye brushes have the same look and feel as the Urban Decay brush that came with my Naked palette. They have a solid weight to them and feel nicely balanced in my hand. I haven’t washed them yet so I don’t know how it’ll stand up afterwards but I would definitely purchase more of their brush line.

This is definitely a store that I will be going back to check out on a fairly regular basis when I need some more products!
