Exciting travel news! Andrew and I are headed on another road trip this summer!
One of the best things about Andrew is that he loves to travel just as much as I do, and we’ve gone on at least one vacation/trip since we’ve started dating. In the past 5 years together, we’ve gone to: The East Coast road trip, Boston, Florida, Europe road trip, and Calgary. Now, we’re about to tackle the West Coast (and the States).
My best friend is getting married this year, and since she lives in British Columbia, we’re headed out there for the wedding (I am the Maid of Honour, so I kinda need to be there). We’re taking just over 2 weeks to drive out there and back. We originally were going to just fly out, but flights are expensive! And then add a rental car, it’s actually cheaper to just drive out – and this way we can actually visit cities.
The plan is to drive through Canada first – we’ll be able to visit Andrew’s sister who lives in Northern Ontario, as well as friends in Calgary, before heading to the wedding. Since the wedding is closer to the day we leave Ontario, it makes more sense to go this way.
Then we’ll be hitting up the States and getting to be a little more touristy. The States that we’ll be travelling through are:
- Washington – Seattle!
- Idaho
- Montana
- North Dakota
- Minnesota
- Wisconsin
- Illinois – Chicago!
- Indiana
- Michigan
If you guys have any tips or things that are MUST SEE’s in those States/cities, please let me know! I need all the help I can get. I don’t want to miss out on something fantastic.
P.S. I also plan on vlogging this trip – which will be exciting in itself!!
