Life :: Practise at Being a Grown-Up

Man, I have no idea what happened Thursday, but I was in the worst mood ever! I woke up and was alright, but got to work and it seemed like every little thing seemed to set me off. I was depressed, mad, angry, happy, sad, crying all in a day. Not a good way to have a day. I like my days to be bright and cheerful and full of kittens and puppies (haha). Ok, so I don’t need it to be all happy all the time, but definitely not depressing like it was on Thursday.

I was having a lot of dumb moments, and things were really confusing me. I just couldn’t figure things out. Which frustrated me, made me feel dumb and worthless, and then sent me into a spiral. Which is awful. Le sigh. I was so angry and depressing to be around, I was such a downer! I kept texting Andrew “sorry for being such a depressing person”. Luckily I had to do some shopping which did manage to get me into a better mood *sign #1 of shopaholic-ness*. I bought more stuff, sigh. I think I maxed out my credit card, so I had to use one that I didn’t want to use, and want to cancel, so I’ll have to wait until next month I guess.

Thank goodness the weekend came by pretty quick. I was so excited to see Andrew! I didn’t have the chance to see him all week (which I should get used too, because his work is getting really busy) and I was so excited to have him over at my place. Friday I spent getting ready, getting all the food prepped, cleaning, making sure that I had everything. I made the fruit tart, bread dough, shredded potatoes for hash browns, and cookies. Then I headed to bed, and woke up to do some more cleaning, made my loaf of bread, and prepped the veggies for lunch. Since I had time to kill because I was so on the ball Friday night, I was able to chill outside in the sun with a drink, a book, and the dog. I got some sun! Totally fantastic, I’m looking less and less pasty. Then I got the quesadillas ready, and Andrew finally arrived! I had missed that boy. The weather was so awesome we ate outside all weekend, and I never eat outside. We ate our quesadillas, and then talked and made out, and then watched a movie. He was tired because he’d been up early and working late, but it was still good to see him. Then we went to bed, and I don’t think he slept great… I think he kept waking me up (not on purpose) but he was always up when I would wake up. =( Not that fun but what can I do. I’m pretty sure I apologized in my sleep for him not sleeping well… haha. But I went to make breakfast (hash browns, bacon and french toast!) and we ate it outside. Loved it! It seemed perfect, yet it went by way to fast.

This weekend, he’s headed to the cottage, but I should be able to see him Thursday. The weeks are going by too fast!! This weekend has made me even more pumped to move out!!
