Life :: Online Dating

Via Tumblr.

It’s funny, I used to be on Plenty of Fish for a while. Well, almost a year now, looking back. I met Andrew (not online) and put my page on hiatus (and hidden) because I didn’t know how to get rid of my profile. *Technology Fail*. Andrew would tease me about it, saying that I was keeping it and just saying I didn’t know how to get rid of it. But I finally went onto the site, and got rid of it. For good. It’s not like I was using it anyways, and clearly don’t need to keep out there on the market.

But as I was signing off (hopefully) forever on the online dating market, Mallory was signing on. She signed up for Match.com,and had planned a date for this Saturday. Although, she decided to cancel, as she wasn’t completely comfortable with the guy, she said that he kinda gave her a weird vibe every so often. Plenty of other guys out there! I was (and still am) excited for her, she hasn’t been having the greatest time with the men in her life. Life throws lemons sometimes, and they hurt. But everyone gets into road jams once in awhile. Hopefully she figures out what she wants and finds someone good and worthwhile. I’ve only ever gone on for friends, and I’ve made a couple. Ones that haven’t ever made it from online friendships, but still ones that I consider friends. Although, one recently has taken to hitting on me, so I don’t talk to him as much anymore. Funny how life works.

I, for one, think I am done with the life of online dating and sites. Although, I do miss meeting new people, even if they are all guys… and they are kind of dumb. And I’m to chicken to actually meet them in person, although it does make for interesting stories when you do meet them.
xoxo
