How is it already 2014?
While I’m all excited for the fresh start of a new year, here’s some memorable posts and highlights of 2013. 2013 saw a couple of changes on the blog, with a design change and new header, as well as me trying out a couple of daily themed posts – Beauty, Life and Fashion. Oddly enough, I’m finding it easier to keep on track with the beauty posts more than the fashion. I thought it would be the other way around.
January 2013 – A whole year ago. Seems so far away, and I was in the middle of 3 totally different subjects, stressing over going out at night, and living in a completely different apartment. An apartment which looking back was super big, and you can check it out here.
February 2013 – The month of l’amour. Andrew and I spent it on the Rideau canal skating, and I braved the perm and jumped head first into curls. So I literally have not brushed my hair since February.
March 2013 – Spring is coming! Celebrating with a ladies’ brunch, and stressing about finals in my classes. And noticing that while I’m doing all this stressing, I watched and wrote about way to many movies.
April 2013 – This month for me was the start of wedding season. Bridal showers galore!
May 2013 – Things got a little crazy in May. I panicked about moving out of my apartment. I started four courses in school, [seriously, never again]. I had some great girl’s nights/days out, and exploring areas of Toronto. Two of my friends got married (here and here).
June 2013 – I bought the most awesome bathing suit for sun bathing at the cottage. It even holds up well while doing yoga. Andrew and I hit 2 years together. Crazy. I saw the Sheepdogs in an acoustic concert. Briana and I had a couple girls nights out again, this time hitting up the Gala for the National Ballet of Canada! I’m actually impressed with the amount of events that I made it to this year.
July 2013 – Sauble Beach! Even though it destroyed my feet, it was still an amazing weekend. I moved apartments! And even though I was a little apprehensive about living there, I actually really love it now. And of course, not to be forgotten, Bruno Mars!
August 2013 – For the first time in my blogging career, I got nominated for an award! And I chopped off more of my hair.
September 2013 – I only posted 3 times this month? Well I guess it goes to living together with Andrew for 3 months.
October 2013 – MacroFeast and Halloween are definitely the highlights of October. Oh and the Louboutin exhibit.
November 2013 – The highlight would be my XmasCardSwap! And Theory of a Deadman. Even though I didn’t see them in November, that’s when I posted about it. And Pretty Reckless with Heaven’s Basement. I raved about this for weeks afterwards. I went to a lot of concerts this summer!
December 2013 – No post is really a stand out in December, but Christmas! That’s the highlight there.
