Life :: Life Plans

Raise your hand if you’re like me and obsessively make plans.

No? Just me? Awesome. I know that I spend an insane amount of time on plans, but they just bring me so much happiness and I love having my thoughts completely out and organized. I know that I’m definitely one who forgets things if I just keep it all in my mind.

I’ve got a couple things close to my chest right now in terms of life planning, but I can show you a couple images of the ones I’ve been making regarding travel. I’m pretty pleased with how the life plan came along, and I can’t wait until more things come to fruition for that one. It’ll be an exciting reveal when things happen! Most of this life plan is an extremely short term. Things that I want to start incorporating within the next 18 months.

The reason so many are crossed out is because I put them in a different category (South East Asia), so technically broke it up into smaller trips.

When I showed Andrew my plans he was just like “Stop making a plan, and get out there and just do it”. So much easier to say than do! Although Andrew’s a do-er, and I’m a plan-ner so there’s that.

Won’t lie, totally felt like I was in high school again making all of these brainstorm flow charts. I decided to break down the travel into geographical clumps, and looking at it all shows that I really should just jet off for a year? (I wish). So many countries and things that I want to do! Rationally I know that I have my whole life to do all of this travel, but there are certain things that I’m putting deadlines on. My plans are all pretty much 3 month trips… or longer. Not that it’s a big deal, but they’re easily broken down into smaller chunks.

Like Asia. I AM going to make it there by my 30th birthday. That gives me 2.5 years to get money and my shit together and make it happen. I’ve already told Andrew this, and he just nods his head. I’ll go by myself if I need to, but I’d much rather go with Andrew. I really enjoy traveling with him. It’s mainly Japan that I’m planning around, but now that I’m Korea-obsessed I want to go there, and hell, we’re over there let’s just do it all, right?
