This Saturday was finally the ladies’ brunch, put on by Briana. And it was delicious, as expected. Not as many girls showed up that were invited, but it was lovely to finally meet some of the girls that she talks about when we get together. And I think it means something that she’s inviting me in to her group of girlfriends.
The food… was amazing. There was such an eclection of foods, curry soup, buckwheat pancakes, berry tarts, garlic toast, mac n’cheese, salads and hummus. It was all delicious! The place settings were so cute, it was so amazing. Jealous of her hostess skills! I really want to get better at that. It was a great morning/afternoon of girl chat, good food, and laughter.
I had never met any of the other girls that were arriving, so I was a little nervous, but it seems like we all had somethings in common. Actually, quite a bit in common with everyone. That made me instantly less nervous, and really excited. Hopefully I get to meet these girls again!
I definitely hope that this brunch turns into a more regular thing, because who doesn’t love brunch?
