Life :: 2014 in Review

I can’t believe that 2014 is already gone.

I’ve been pretty lax with my blog these past couple weeks, had a little bit of time off of work and decided to take some time to devote to other aspects of my life and not be so plugged in. While I’ve been complaining that 2014 is over already and how I haven’t done anything, that actually isn’t the case. It just went by so fast that it feels like nothing happened!

Peace-20140

I managed to fit in 2 trips this year, one in January and the end of September. I made it out to Boston (read about it here and here), for the Bruins/Leaf game, which also crossed going to a live hockey game off of my list too. And the big one – Europe!! Andrew and I hit up 7 countries in 3 weeks – Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Switzerland, France, and London! I had such a great time, and can’t wait to go back. But first, I have other countries to hit up first (Hello, Asia).

I managed to squeeze in a couple of concerts this year too: Panic! at the Disco! So much fun. I love when bands come to smaller venues so you can push your way to the front and dance your bum off! They were just as good live as they are on their albums. Yes, this is a high school crush band that stuck with me. It’s amazing and I love them. Don’t hate. I also saw Skrillex live at Echo Beach, what a rush! I love EDM concerts, way to much fun, and had a little bit to much to drink. Good times with great ladies!

2014 was a big year for this little blog too – all about the learning! I went to 2 workshops (here and here), and 2 conferences: SparkSessions and BlogPodium. They were so informative and I met so many inspiring ladies that I am happy to call friends. I also hit a record-breaking 147 posts this year compared to past years. A goal for 2015: Get to 208 posts this year!

I just found a cute little life plan list that I wrote awhile back and completely forgot about – Let’s see how we did?
+ Graduate General Business This didn’t happen mainly because how I wanted to do my diplomas didn’t work out the way I thought.
+ Get Engaged I need to stop putting this on the list…
+ Save money for a house/mortgage This year.. this year…
+ Make new friends  I managed this one! 😀
+ Europe Trip! Yup!
+ Grow the blog a bit more Not as big as I’d like, but it’s getting there!
+ Be more organized! Ugh. Still a work in progress…

Here’s to 2015!! Although I already feel like I’m falling behind… Bring it on! See my 2015 goals here!
