The road to Andrew’s cottage. |
This year, I spent New Year’s a little differently. Instead of in the city, in a club, or even at a house party, I spent it in the country at his cottage. Where there is snow. And everything is pretty and white. I even went snowmobiling with Andrew. He’s so excited about it. It was a lot of fun, and I enjoyed myself immensely. I even got to drive it! It’s not as easy as it looks. I was impressed with how I did.
This weekend I actually went for walks, and went outside, and ate incredibly good food. I ate probably too much, and didn’t drink at all. Mmm so good. It was definitely interesting as I was the only girl there for most of the time. Tom and Jane came up for New Years but left the next morning. Being with all guys is… eye opening. I saw way to much of some of them, way more than I ever wanted to see. I don’t know why boys feel the need to bare themselves.
It was a great weekend for Andrew and I, other than a little blip on New Year’s eve… He fell asleep and didn’t want to wake up for the countdown. Not impressed at all. But ah well. He stayed up and then we went to bed. Almost missed the countdown though as all of our clocks were different. But we popped some bubbly, lit some sparklers and had a great night. Andrew and I kick ass at the card game Signal (we didn’t even have to discuss what our signal would be!), that made me absurdedly happy. Such a loser sometimes.
