Last night, was a slow lesson. I’m excited because we’re gearing up to start doing more fun stuff. The annual Christmas party is coming up, and Bridget and I were supposed to participate in the Pas-de-Deux’s that mostly everyone else in lessons are doing. Sadly, we don’t have the time to practice, so will not be riding during the party. Not necessarily a bad thing, as I’m still not 100% confident on Gillian, and I could just see the whole thing turning out badly.
Yes, maybe I shouldn’t be such a pessimist about it, but I’m just not ready to showcase my non-existent talents. Right now.
Regardless, last night was a walk lesson, some trot, but mainly walk. I was working on my body position and how it affected her, and was asking questions about my position, and movement of my body with hers. It was a good learning lesson, I really need to start stretching because I’m definitely stiff on one side, and I noticed it was affecting my riding ability. Boourns. Have to remedy that right away. Hopefully with Andrew home he’ll help force me to stretch.
