Books :: Foretold

There’s just something about prophecies that make you think. If you didn’t know about them, would things still have turned out the way they did?

Foretold

When I saw Foretold in the store, it caught my eye first because of the cover: it’s dark and mystic, and just feels like magic. My kind-of story! Next were the authors. So many of my favourites in one place!

Richelle Mead, Meg Cabot, Laini Taylor, and Lisa McCann were authors that I already knew, but there were a few that I hadn’t read anything from them yet. Michael Grant, Matt de la Pena, and Simone Elkeles are a few that I didn’t know.

The theme of the book was prophecy, and the author had full interpretation regarding it. Some were more straight-forward in regards to it, and some a little more abstract. I won’t lie and I’ll admit that the abstract ones were a little bit confusing to me, and I didn’t always enjoy them.

I enjoyed this because it introduced me to some new authors, and it’s a great introduction into short stories as well. I managed to sneakily purchase this for $2 in store when it was in the bargain bin, but you can find it here online.
