I’m back on my quest for the perfect skin. I currently received some samples of a few CC creams, which are the new thing for skin/makeup care [if you haven’t heard].
So I went to Sephora to get some input on the right colour for my skin tone, and pick up some samples. I love that Sephora does give samples out, and they have a pretty awesome return policy. The only thing that I hate is that my old ‘local’ location is super shitty. I hate giving bad reviews, but I have yet to have a great experience there. It doesn’t matter if it’s busy or not, the sales people never give me the time of day. There is no greeter, and when you do ask for some help they brush you off and say they’re helping someone else [which of course is fine, but can’t you see if someone else is available to help me?] so I usually just end up walking out the store frustrated and wondering why I keep trying.
Anyways, so I decide to head to Sherway Gardens to hit up their Sephora, and it made me feel so much better. I walked away with a bunch of samples of foundation and CC creams, and had one on one interaction with one of their beauty stylist people.
Apparently, I am in between all the shades in Laura Mercier’s foundation line, so went with Nars instead. Also picked up Peter Thomas Roth CC cream, and Clinique’s CC cream. So over the next couple of months I’m going to be trying them all out, and seeing which one is the best for me [or at least works the best]. I’m starting with Peter Thomas Roth, and going from there.
It’s going well so far, especially since I am actually putting makeup on every day! Updates to come!
