Time for my weekly beauty post. I’ve kind of fallen out of practice with my nail up-keep since I broke a couple nails and decided to take them short again, but I had been eyeing the Sally Hansen complete care top and bottom coat ever since I tried it out with Briana. I was currently using Essie’s Feed Me, but I can’t say that I really cared for it at all. It seemed to leave my nails really tacky and definitely didn’t help with strengthening or stopping the yellowing.
Luckily, this one does. I haven’t grown out my nails since I cut them short a couple weeks ago, but it does seem to be stronger, and I haven’t noticed my nails leaving yucky discolouration after removing the polish. This dries really nicely, and when applied as a top coat makes them look almost gel-like in their shine and finish. I am impressed.
This goes for about $12 in drug stores, and definitely worth the cost for me. Especially since it would last quite a long time since you only need 2 coats per manicure.
Then I did a little bit of a splurge because I had a coupon for $2 off, and decided that I needed a new grey. I definitely prefer OPI over Essie, and I’ve never tried any of the Nicole line. This one is from Modern Family, My Jay or the Highway, and it’s a very nice grey. More of a nude/neutral colour, so I was pleased! Definitely worth the money, especially when it’s on sale.
