Beauty :: Lush Shopping

So I did a little more caving, and went to Lush and purchased a couple things. Things that I may or may not have needed, but really wanted, and could actually use for the upcoming trip.
I ended up going on the day that they were having the Emotional Brilliance launch, so there were cupcakes and water, and there were people giving the colour readings. I didn’t get one, as I was there with a purpose. Let’s not get too sidetracked. Also, I didn’t want to end up spending way more money than I needed too..
The guy that helped me was super awesome, and super helpful. He was funny and was able to tell me everything about the products. He seemed shocked that this was the first time I’d stepped into Lush in years… and that it would be my first time buying anything!
I ended up purchasing New Bar solid shampoo, a travel tin for it [of course] and Ocean Salt face and body scrub. I’ve used both products at least once, and so far love! I bought the smaller container of Ocean Salt, as I didn’t want to be stuck with it forever if I decided I didn’t like it. Or if I decide to try something new.
New Bar: So far so good! 🙂 I’m amazed that these things actually lather… and this one smells amazing. It amazingly detangled my hair, without the use of conditioner, and my hair feels thicker. And is so smooth and shiny! And this was after I went swimming in chlorinated water, hadn’t washed it in a couple days, and slept on it. It was pretty gross when I woke up. I did lather it up twice because it felt so gross.. I definitely think that I’m a convert to the solid shampoo craze. Who doesn’t love something that’s easy, and if it keeps my hair looking amazing then SOLD. I showed my mom, who is a hair dresser and she even approves of how my hair looks and feels. I love it. Definitely won’t be going back to liquid shampoo! I might even try one of their conditioners… or even the hair masques. The possibilities are endless!
Ocean Salt: I enjoy it. Definitely does make my face/skin glow and feel super smooth. It was a bit of a shock when I washed my face and got a mouthful of salt water. Not that pleasant, but I deal with it. I’m glad that I only bought the small little tub. I have a feeling that this one will last me awhile, and I wouldn’t mind trying out other products that they have for scrubs.
I think that my body is getting really tired of products that have artificial chemicals or whatever in them, because recently it just seems to be rebelling against every product that I throw at it. I’ve tried different shampoos, conditioners, face washes, creams, everything. Nothing seems to be helping. My hair was still damaged and my face was still breaking out. I have nothing to lose by switching to all natural product lines, and all to gain. I’m excited to say that for my first foray into it, I’m loving it!

I think I’ve officially been converted into a Lushy!
