Beauty :: Dry Brushing Round 2

Honestly, I need to keep up with routines. I am the absolute worst at it. Take dry brushing.

Dry Brushing

I talked about dry brushing back in 2014 (2 years ago!!) and I’d probably have the best skin going right now if I’d kept it up. But as I probably kept that up for about a week/2 weeks, we’re starting back at the beginning.

Since my bathroom renovation, and rediscovering my body brush, I’ve decided that I’m going to start using it again. So far, it’s going well! I’m not currently putting the oil on before my shower (because honestly, until I re-read that post I’d completely forgotten about it), but I should probably start doing that again.

I’m actually really enjoying the way that my skin looks and feels after dry brushing. I’ve just been putting the oil on with my cream afterwards. I definitely notice that using the oil helps lock in the moisture for more than a day. I can usually go 2 days without having to reapply body cream which is awesome since I’m so lazy with my beauty regimes.

I feel like (for me) this is the best way to keep my skin under control. I have Keratosis Pilaris on my arms and my legs, but mainly my legs. I can see a noticeable difference in my skin when I dry brush, and it’s good for circulation (which means it’s good to help slow down cellulite!) and I’ve started using it every where on my body. I’m hoping that it’ll help clear up my skin and the oil will help with any scarring that I’ve accumulated over the years.

I should probably get a before picture up here, even though I’m super self conscious about my skin! But here’s to breaking barriers this year! I’m pumped for getting my skin “summer-ready” and this is definitely a step in the right direction!

Any one else dry brush regularly? What results did you see?
