A Personal Note to July | Lifestyle

Pheww-ee. July you’ve definitely ended on a bit of a rough note.

The writing hasn’t been coming easy this month. I feel like I was so on the ball in June, and I’ve just been slipping more and more behind. I get that this is something that I do as a hobby so it’s not like I have to keep a schedule, but it makes me feel good when I do!

July had some amazing highlights – I think seeing Panic! at the Disco did take the cake though.

July

The downsides to July? Kaiden getting sick! Kaiden got hand-foot-and-mouth disease, so we’ve been dealing with a fussy, sore baby and adjusting to him not eating and wanting to be held all day. It’s tough since he’s so big, I can’t hold him for that long anymore! I’m now working on getting the house cleaned and disinfected. #momlife, right? Thank goodness for Oma’s – she helped come over and clean!

Nothing else new there. I’ve been blessed with an amazingly supportive family and they’ve been babysitting and helping out while I figure out my new work schedule and dealing with a sick child.

I honestly can’t wrap my head around the fact that it’s already August though. This summer is just FLYING by.

Here are some of the highlights for August I’m looking forward too!

There’s an art gallery show I’d like to check out for Tina Tran ‘Femme Fatale’ at the #Hashtag Gallery in Toronto from August 3 to 12. Check her stuff out on Instagram @imawonder.

One of the weddings is next week and I’m actually having a baby-free weekend because of it! Andrew is taking Kaiden to the cottage so I’m going to bask in the glory of no interrupted sleep.

MONTREAL!!! I think that this will be the highlight of the month – another baby-free weekend spent with a whole bunch of awesome ladies.

There’s also Marianas Trench, 5 Seconds of Summer, the CNE, and FanExpo, plus the cottage in and amongst those main things. Not sure if I’ll be going to any or all of them. These will be somewhat last minute things!

What exciting things do you have planned for August? Highlights of July? Let me know!
