A Fresh New Semester

My new shower curtain, and yes, there is no toilet seat…

So far, so good. I mean, I’ve only had on class each, but they both seem like they’ll be decent. Although computers is definitely going to be A LOT drier than Human Resources… Go figure.

Computers… definitely going to be the tough one of this semester. I’m not looking forward to Excel, but I’m really going to apply myself and push through. Excel frustrates me to no end while learning in a classroom, but I’m going to buckle down. This is for my future! The teacher, seems cute, but kind of dry. She monologues on and on, and makes it really hard to concentrate at 8 pm! Thank G that Marcin is in my class, so I’ll have someone to a) work with and b) talk to.

HR1. This one, I’m actually going to enjoy. It’ll be reading heavy, and the text book cost me so much, but meh. I’ll probably take HR2 in order to get more use out of it. The teacher is an older gentleman, and seems like he’s pretty hip. Haha, besides he reminds me of King Julian from Madagascar… *cough* Probably not the best thing, but what can ya do! It just makes me smile. Which keeps me interested.

Now this is pretty interesting because both classes has interesting mixes of people. HR will be better for mingling and talking, because there will be more discussions. I’ve already talked with a bunch of the women in there, and the biggest shock ever when a guy I used to go to high school with is in it too! Crazy small world. We had English class in Grade nine, and then he changed schools. I used to have a crush on him, haha. There’s another girl who is in both my classes this semester, which is nice, and I met a girl who is in the same program as me, and at roughly the same spot. I’ve actually done a few more classes than she has. It’d be nice to get to know her better, and maybe have her in more of my classes. Networking is the key.

Luckily, class last night finished early (I don’t think I’m going to be so lucky in the future), and so I headed to Walmart. A good or bad idea? It was necessary. I dropped about 250 bucks, but got a lot of things that I needed. New shower curtains, soap dish, tooth brush holder, tooth brush, tooth paste, garbage bins (3)… The list is endless! I might have also bought somethings that I didn’t really need, but were a good price… *cough* Seasons 1-3 of Sex and the City *cough* Now I just need to get the DVD player up and running…

On a side, and totally unrelated point… Andrew’s home tomorrow! And is also sick as a dog… Hopefully he’s alright on the flight! Happy Wednesday!
