So, I’m taking on the challenge of finding a new car. Aka a car. That’s used. And semi-cheap. Not easy to find, me thinks.
I went out with my mom after work Monday evening, and checked out a couple dealerships. Nothing really caught my eye other than the prices! Holy jumping, cars are more expensive nowadays. Or maybe they always were… and I just never realized. Because I don’t have any mechanical expertise, I can’t just go out and get a shitbox that needs work. (Besides, I don’t really want one of those). I test drove one car, a Saturn Ion, and liked it. But then went home and did some research and wasn’t blown away by the customer comments. So back to the drawing board I go.
Hopefully I can go out and see a couple more, maybe tomorrow. It’d be pretty fantastic if I got a car as soon as possible. It means no more walking in the snow! No more windy days walking to the bus! No more awkward situations on the bus! Woohoo. I guess there are just so many pluses to having a car right now in my life. The next step to growing up. So exciting!
I hope that I can get a cute car, within my price range, that’s not super old. Wish me luck!
