Reminisce on the Past Year

Via Tumblr.

I can’t believe that it’s 2012. Where did 2011 go!? I don’t know, all I know that I had a great year. So much happened… it’s a little hard to believe. 168 posts this year, I’m getting more and more consistent! I think that is a great thing about this year as well. This year was a veritiable roller coaster of emotions, ideas, plans, things that happened, everything. Still the biggest believer of everything happening for a reason, and why not? Everything that happens in life certainly attests to that. There were some sad moments, but overall the year was pretty darn rewarding.

Let’s recap some of the highlights this year:

1. I can’t believe it’s been a year since I’ve been offered the reception job at work. Definitely love it, and still enjoy coming to work each day. Can’t complain about that.

2. Meeting up with old friends, and actually making time for them. So, so worth it in the end.

3. Meeting Andrew. Hard to believe at what a slim chance it was that we met, but so perfect. <3

4. Finally getting my ass on a plane to visit Mal! Best week ever, and wish it could have been longer, but there’s definitely always next year.

5. Getting Kumo. Even though he is a ridiculous amount of trouble, he’s adorable. And pretty much the best cat that I’ve ever had.

6. Starting my business certificate/diploma/degree. And actually passing my first course! Here’s to many more!

7. Continuing my baking (even though I’m not at it as much) and even branching out into cooking. Next Martha Stewart, here I come.

8. Buying a car! Even though I didn’t move out this year, this definitely made up for it. Even though I’m feeling the crunch and pain of being more or less poor, it’s totally worth it. I will have this paid off by next May though!

9. I’m learning on how to just be myself, and not let any outside influences affect what I do, or how I do things. Things happen for a reason.

10. Improving in my riding. Sadly won’t be able to up the amount that I’m riding, due to money and lack of time, but I’m definitely getting better. Any improvement is good to see.

Now, here’s to 2012, hopefully it will be full of as much learning, growing, and happiness as this year!
xoxo
