Little Miss Studious

Via Tumblr. How I’m going to be spending my weekends…

Back to the grind, Mondays – Wednesdays seem so busy that by the time Thursday to the weekend comes I can really used the detox time, even if I’m busy with homework. Not that there’s anything wrong with that, in my math class there is a guy that I’ve become chatty with, so I now know 3 people in that class that I actually talk to.

The guy, his name is Justin and we had actual conversation (which is awesome). Totally helps that he’s cute and friendly, and most likely will be able to help me with my homework further down the line (he seems smart).

Math class is definitely more subdued than my communications course, even though I talk to people at my table, it’s more of a work by yourself vibe. Comm class… I was nervous to be going to it. I’m not good at presentations, I get nervous, embarassed, red in the face and then I speak way to fast. Thank God that they’ll all be short presentations and only a couple going up by ones’ self.

Last night was the first of many comm classes, and being forced to talk to people, you meet people. I sat next to one guy (Marcin) and behind one girl (Julianne) and beside another woman (Mariam). I did a presentation with Mariam, and found out lots about her. Marcin is cool, and we have a bit in common. Julianne is married, and only 25! Been married since she was 20 as well, sigh. Another one… 🙂 I’m actually quite looking forward to this class, just because the teacher seems awesome, and the group of people are a lot of fun. This is probably the best class to meet people, as it is very interactive.

I do have to say that blogging every day? Totally helping my writing skills. I was able to whip up a 3 paragraph blurb about the person I admire the most (ie. my mother) in probably about 5 minutes. Another 5 minutes for some fine tuning, and I was done. And it was pretty well written and thought out… if I do say so myself.

Here’s to the small miracles (of me looking smart for once),
xoxo
