This is lonnnng overdue. I’ve had these products for at least 3 weeks, if not longer. Between the not having good lighting/good camera/moving, this post just kept getting pushed and pushed. Their packaging was nothing special, so I didn’t take any pictures of that.
E.L.F. stands for Eyes Lips Face cosmetics, and is a really decent, wallet-friendly brand. They typically have free shipping over a certain amount [In their case, $25] but when I ordered they had a surprise discount promo happening, so I got 40% off my order, which was like getting it for free shipping. I spent $15.00, and got a mattifying powder, 5 nail polishes, and nail polish remover pads. All that for $15? Considering most nail polish is $10, I consider that a great deal.
The best thing is that the nail polish is actually really nice. Goes on smoothly and only need two coats to get it nice and opaque. Unless you’re like me and bump it while drying… I bought some fun colours, and I love love love them. I bought coral, mint green, gold sparkle, baby pink, and the matte top coat.
I haven’t even tried all the colours I bought, I’ve been so addicted to coral. I thought about the pink the last time I redid my nails, and was like nope. Coral. Maybe I’ll try the baby pink out next time. The nail polish remover is weird but works really well. I expected it to fail, being such tiny, thin pads. But it works and smells really quite nice. I’ve been keeping my nails really short lately, so that hopefully, they grow back in stronger. There’s a definite difference in the new nail coming in, and the old nail growing out. Yuck. Manicures, your ruined my nail life. They look like shit without polish on. I can’t wait til it’s all grown back out. I tried the baby pink, and it’s so sheer that I can’t do it right now, the way my nails are. They look like shit still, so I have to wait for the grossness to grow out first.
I use the mattifying powder almost everyday, just over my foundation to take away any excess shine. And it works. I really like it and it lasts all day. I have no complaints here.
This is so awesome. Maybe I can get away from being such a brand-whore.
On a side note, it’s YOGA tonight! I have to get myself a pair of white yoga pants though… and I have my driving lesson.. prep for the big test next week! Eek!
