Weekend Recap

Helping me read my magazines
Another weekend gone. At least this one was slightly more interesting than the last one’s have been!
Friday night was spent with the ladies I had met with previously, and we headed downtown for some Guu-d food and some dancing. We get downtown, put our names on the reservation list, and head to a bar for a bit. That was fun, because we were in the gay district, so it’s always fun whenever gays are involved. I got asked if I was someone famous, and he was kind of sad that I wasn’t haha. Sadly, we had only been there for a bit when one of the girls said she didn’t feel well, and decided to head home. M and I decided to stay out anyways, and we went for dinner as they called at that moment [good timing].
Good thing we did. Guu’s food is so amazing. And I love sharing it with someone else who’s never had it before. We ate and had a good time and then started to head home via the subway. We had a good time going home, and her boyfriend dropped me off at home since I couldn’t get anyone to pick me up. Hopefully we do something else this weekend!

Saturday I slept in, and spent the day helping a friend organize and throw things out. Then my mom came over and we all had dinner and a movie night watching War Horse. The three of us had seen the stage performance of this, and were excited to see the movie. I enjoyed it, it was able to do more than what the play could but both were spectacular in their own way.

Sunday was a little more sleeping in, cleaning the apartment and sitting my ass on the couch reading. I read 2.5 books that day. Kumo was pleased, he slept beside me almost all day. Some days you just need to not do anything. I didn’t go on the computer, I didn’t watch much tv [I did watch a movie after I was reading]. I did nothing and it felt wonderful.
It was a great balance of going out and staying in. This week will be a little more of me trying to cram things to do and finish this week before Andrew comes home. I’m going to attempt cooking more, and making sure everything is kept neat. Go me!
