This past weekend, the barn that I ride at lost an amazing soul. Gillian, the mare that I was riding, had to be put down due to complications with a recent surgery.
It’s a sad day, she was an amazing horse. She helped teach me so much, and I still had so much left to learn from her. I was finally getting compatible with her. It’s always sad when an animal dies, and she died before her time. She was doing so well in recovery, but I guess it was to good to be true.
She will be missed. RIP Gillian!
