This movie I really enjoyed. It’s your typical rom-com, and it’s pretty much the black version of He’s Just Not That Into You [not being racist, that’s how I see it].
It’s funny to watch how guys vs girls think, and honestly, I don’t know if I’d put up with some of the crap that they do. I do wish that Keri Hilson had more screen time than just the one scene.
The movie has 6 main male characters, because the story really does revolve around them. Stereotypically, there’s the Player, the Dreamer, the Mama’s Boy, the Happily Married Guy, the Non-Committer, and the Divorced Guy. The main plot revolves around Steve Harvey’s book “Act like a Lady, Think like a Man”.
There’s happy moments, funny moments, teary moments. It’s a happy ending though, so I liked that. But the acting was good, and it was realistic, as far as rom-com’s go. Definitely made me smile. I always enjoy movies where the women learn about themselves and stand up for what they want out of life.
