This movie… was great. Oscar nom worthy? Hells no. But it was hilarious because of who was all in it.
Stellar action cast.
You’ve got Jet Li and Nan Yu for the people who love asian martial arts. You have Stallone and Schwarzanegger for your American heavy hitters. You have Jason Statham for British eye candy. Even Liam Hemsworth for some added sexiness. Bruce Willis.
There’s even. Chuck Norris. I mean. Chuck Norris makes the movie. I don’t even think I need to say anything else about this.
I think what I enjoyed the most about it [other than the kick ass action] is that the actors all poked fun at themselves. Like, there were all these references to past things that they’ve done, and it was funny. I laughed, I cried. I cheered. I was sad that there wasn’t more Jet Li, just because I love him.
But I think Chuck Norris made up for it, even if I’m not a huge fan. [Is that sacrilege?] My favourite line from it is when they were talking about how he got bit by a cobra, and yes, after 5 excruciating days, the cobra died. ‘Nuff said.
