Life :: 25 before 26

It’s a little crazy to think that this year I’m going to be 26… but there ya have it. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t mind being older, it just doesn’t feel like I should be turning that age. Seems like yesterday I was still in high school without a care in the world.

But regardless, here we are. And as such, I’ve decided that in order to tackle my 101 in 1001 list and get things done on that list, I’m going to have to tackle it in somewhat smaller chunks. Looking at my list, I’m impressed because I was able to cross 15 things off my list without realizing it. Now, time to get 25 things done before I turn 26.

  1. Take a photography course/class – Spark Sessions April 5th
  2. See all the Harry Potter movies – When I have a weekend to binge watch… Perhaps reading week?
  3. Attend a blogging conference – Perhaps there’s going to be another in Toronto?
  4. See a comedy show with Andrew
  5. Go to the Opera – There’s one I think in November I’d like to see.
  6. Get engaged – Now I have no control over this one, but can I say maybe this year?
  7. Graduate school – This should happen in August!
  8. Go on vacation abroad – Andrew and I are planning a trip for October.
  9. See the Toronto Cherry Blossoms – April High Park
  10. Create and stick to my budget – I’ve created it, now just gotta stick to it.
  11. Cook 25 recipes from a cookbook (0/25) – this will be about 2 a month.
  12. Read 25 books in a year
  13. Visit the White Squirrel Coffee Shop – when the weather gets nicer!
  14. Try yoga at other studios – Now that I’m a free agent, I’m definitely interested in doing this one
  15. Send more letters – Always working on this one.
  16. Eat authentic ramen in a Japanese ramen restaurant – I still have 2 that I want to try!
  17. Explore Toronto: – Definitely going to wait until summer for this list.
  18. High Park
  19. Kensington Market
  20. Distillery District
  21. Little Italy
  22. Koreatown
  23. The Beaches
  24. Sugar Beach
  25. Find a place for High Tea
This shouldn’t take me too long, right? Well I’ve given myself a year, and I’m pretty sure I can make all of this happen. I’m definitely making a pointed effort to get everything on my list this year DONE. And it’s totally manageable. Wish me luck!
