I am a huge sucker for Sunday Riley products, I won’t lie.
My bestie is the best because she got this for my birthday/Christmas gift last year and I’m still working my way through it.
The Wake Up With Me Sunday Riley morning ritual kit came with:
Ceramic Slip Cleanser
I’m not a huge fan of the feel of this cleanser. It feels kind of like its name: slippery, and not really in a good way. It works, but it’s a texture thing for me. I feel like my skin prefers other formulas over this one. Probably not worth the money just to have the name brand (for me).
Pink Drink Firming Essence
Same with this one. I liked it but I went through this the fastest. And again, I feel like using just basic Dr. Thayer’s Witch Hazel gets the job done better if you want a toner. It smelled really nice though!
CEO Vitamin C cream
I know that the latest thing in skincare is Vitamin C but I’m not really sold on it? I mix the cream and the drops together as one step which is fine, but again, I’m not sure it’s doing anything for my skin. I’ve tried other Vitamin C serums in the past and it really didn’t make my skin better or worse. Not going to drop mega bucks for something that is ‘meh’ on my skin.
CEO Glow serum
This will probably last me forever. I use like, 2 drops at a time in the morning and it still seems like I’ve barely dented it. I’m going to tick away at it though until I’m finished with it. I think I’ll need to use more once I’m not mixing it with the cream so I should be done it before the end of the year. Again, this is something that a little goes a long way so worth the money if Vitamin C is your thing, I just think it’s over-hyped.
Good Genes Lactic Acid serum
Ok speaking of things hyped… This one I really enjoy and would definitely contemplate purchasing again. I’ve already looked at the set that they have with the Luna Retinol night serum (which I did repurchase in the regular size). This one also smells amazing and I enjoy using it in my routine. I only use it in the morning but I might try it out at night
Auto Correct eye brightener cream
This isn’t bad, but I’m SO bad at using eye creams so I can’t really review this as I’ve barely used it. I will say I do think that it helps brighten but I feel a highlighter would do the same thing.
The Stand-Outs
I’m still using a lot of them in my daily routine. A little goes a long way so for the price point, it does make it worth it even if the initial dollar amount makes my wallet cry. But definitely, the Good Genes will be the main repurchase from this set.
Overall I’m glad that I got the set (even happier that I didn’t have to pay for it) but it’s a great way to try out products from a brand you like without dropping hundreds on the full-size and realizing you don’t like the products at all.
