Vengeance and magic inspired by Chinese mythology.
Can I say, I am loving all the Asian-themed books lately? Fairyloot has been hitting it out of the park lately with books (at least from the covers). This one is giving me major Mulan vibes, but with more magic.
This is the art for the author’s letter which is stunning, and the monthly tarot cards, the Seven and Eight of Pentacles, featuring Malik and Karina from A Song of Wraiths & Ruin.
This book review notebook, inspired by the Kingdom of Ash trilogy is really nice. I’m already using it and I like the way it’s broken down. It has space for page numbers, stars, title, publication date, start and finish dates, and then an overview section. I’m hoping to read through 50 (ish) books this year and this will be the perfect place to keep my thoughts.
My bamboo travel mug was damaged when it arrived, but the Fairyloot team was so great and got a replacement out immediately. It’s a cute size and mint green is such a cute colour. Th
The washi tape is inspired by The Rage of Dragons and I think this is the first time that I’ve gotten a washi tape in a box. It says ‘Let Them Think I’m a Monster’ and it really nice to use.
I know I’ve said this but I definitely enjoy getting kitchen items in the boxes. The microfiber cloths are always nice and this one is inspired by Vicious by V.E. Schwab.
November’s ‘Vengeance Is Yours’ themed book is Jade Fire Gold by June Tan.
In an empire on the brink of war…
Ahn is no one, with no past and no family.
Altan is a lost heir, his future stolen away as a child.
When they meet, Altan sees in Ahn a path to reclaiming the throne. Ahn sees a way to finally unlock her past and understand her arcane magical abilities.
But they may have to pay a far deadlier price than either could have imagined.
Ferocious action, shadowy intrigue, and a captivating romance collide in June CL Tan’s debut, a stunning homage to the Xianxia novel with a tender, beating heart, perfect for fans of The Bone Witch and We Hunt the Flame.

Another one I haven’t read but it looks amazing. Once I finish Once Upon a Time by Stepanie Garber, I think that this one might be the next one I read.
I have just the last box of 2021 to write up about and then I’ll be done!
Which of 2021 has been your favourite box? I’m absolutely terrible and only read one of the books from this year. The Prison Healer, which was amazing and I truly enjoyed it. Hopefully, I’ll be able to get some more of the 2022 books read this year.
