My Top Books of 2022 | Stationery

This year I was really good at reading.

I actually completed my goal of 50 books. Exceeded it, in fact.

This year is almost done but I’m at 82 books! This is mainly due to the fact that I was signed up for a Kindle subscription and read a lot of sports romances. They were great and super easy to read. Quick and pretty much just what I needed this year.

So out of 82 books, which were the top books for me?

One Dark Window (The Shepherd King, #1)One Dark Window by Rachel Gillig
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Tutoring the Player (Campus Wallflowers, #1)Tutoring the Player by Rebecca Jenshak
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

The Chase (Briar U, #1)The Chase by Elle Kennedy
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Year of the ReaperYear of the Reaper by Makiia Lucier
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Defy the Night (Defy the Night, #1)Defy the Night by Brigid Kemmerer
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

These Hollow Vows (These Hollow Vows, #1)These Hollow Vows by Lexi Ryan
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

These are probably the stand-out books for me, although Rebecca Jenshak and Elle Kennedy are more stand-out authors to me. I read a lot of both their series and really enjoyed all of them. They’re mainly college sports romances filled with all the good tropes but while quick and easy, they were just so enjoyable.

I chose these books because they were memorable in terms of plot points or just in general. I read a lot and sometimes they blend together and while I remember enjoying them there wasn’t any one thing that stood out from the rest. Will I still be reading any sequels? Definitely. But I’ll have to re-read the first one before I do that.

I am ready to start fresh in 2023 and can’t wait to see how many I’m going to get through.

I don’t think I’ll be hitting the over 50 goals, as I’m aiming to read more hard copies instead of e-reading, but I think if I aim for 2 a month I’d be happy!

Happy Reading in 2023!!
