May ‘Spellcraft’ Fairyloot | Stationery

I think that this is the first Witch-themed box I’ve gotten as a Fairyloot box.

So I was definitely excited about it! Witches are kind of my thing, and I feel like I definitely don’t read enough about them anymore.

The first impression of this box was “look how pretty everything is!” This version of the book is absolutely stunning. The cover has runes and the stencilling on the edges is so pretty. The dust cover art is just so good.

I love when there are some larger items in the boxes, and this tumblr is super pretty. It has a quote from the Throne of Glass series one it. They just always look so nice and are such nice quality. Perfect for summer time sipping!

I’ve mentioned that coasters aren’t my biggest win in the boxes, but these are definitely nice. Good quality, and the gold foiling is a nice touch. I also have read the series they’re based on (Serpent & Dove) so it makes them a little nicer and the art (as always) is on point.

I’m actually really excited about the To Be Read game made by Fairyloot. The 20 sided die is really nice so I’m looking forward to putting all the books on my list there and actually using it. This might actually encourage me to read and finish some the books piling up!

I’m actually really impressed with this Spellcraft box.

The wooden phone stand inspired by Raybearer is bright and colourful. It looks really nice on as desk (even though I don’t have one) so it lives on my bedside table right now.

The art print with characters from the Crave series also makes me want to go dig out that series to read it, like I don’t have enough on my TBR. Any one else read it? Worth the read?

The May ‘Spellcraft’ themed book is Witches Steeped in Gold by Ciannon Smart.

This Jamaican-inspired fantasy debut about two enemy witches who must enter into a deadly alliance to take down a common enemy has the twisted cat-and-mouse of Killing Eve with the richly imagined fantasy world of Furyborn and Ember in the Ashes.

Divided by their order. United by their vengeance.

Iraya has spent her life in a cell, but every day brings her closer to freedom – and vengeance.

Jazmyne is the Queen’s daughter, but unlike her sister before her, she has no intention of dying to strengthen her mother’s power.

Sworn enemies, these two witches enter a precarious alliance to take down a mutual threat. But power is intoxicating, revenge is a bloody pursuit, and nothing is certain – except the lengths they will go to win this game.

I haven’t had a chance to sit down and read this one yet, but boy does this sound like a goodie! I think I’m going to love the Jamaican background, and honestly, one of the characters shares my name so that’s always a bonus.

I’m kind of excited to see which way this one goes. Even though I’m a huge sucker for a good romance, it’d be nice to see them not have one… as well? Am I alone in these thoughts? I have absolutely no background for this book other than the excerpt so I’m definitely just along for the ride.

I’ll update when I have a review for this one!
