A new local store to support small businesses? Sign me up!
Little Pink Brick House Marketplace hosted a Sip and Shop event this past Thursday, and of course, I had to go check them out. They have a large collection of small, local vendors and I thought it would be the perfect opportunity to check out some specific brands they offer.
You know me, I never turn down the opportunity to grab the free swag, so I was obviously there early enough to get one.
Some of the brands that jumped out at me were:
Two Of Earth Tallow
I went there specifically for the tallow brand, Two of Earth Tallow. I’ve been interested in switching to tallow as coconut-based products really don’t work for me. Since this one is more local than the other I have my eye on, I decided to jump on it especially since they offered 10% off at the event. I will most likely (attempt) to have a post about the product that I purchased after I have a little more use under my belt. Silly me, I didn’t take a picture of their display! I was too busy looking at their products.
Laboterra
Laboterra had a selection of body creams, soaps, and body scrubs. Let me tell you, these felt luxe! If I wasn’t trying to stay away from coconut oil these probably would have come home with me. The Vanilla Bean smelled delicious (and you know me and vanilla).
Lilit Botanicals
This brand probably was the one that I was drawn to the most. The aesthetic is just too good. After doing a little more research online about the brand and its ingredients, I will probably be back to try out their Herbal Hair Serum. This blend uses rosemary and castor oil instead of coconut-based ones, which I’m excited to see. I love that they use beeswax for their candles, and they have a Yule and a Litha one for the longest day of the year coming up!
Southern Oasis
I thought these boards were stunning. I’m not in the market for one, but they’d make an amazing present! I can’t find anything for them online, and I didn’t grab their card, so these might be an in-person thing only!
Brewja Blends
Digging deeper into Brewja Blends reveals that they are created by a culinary holistic nutritionist and of course, I picked up the play on words for Brewja/Bruja, meaning witch in Spanish. I love the names of the blends and I’m a huge fan of the fact they’re for improving gut health as well as just overall health. Food as medicine is something that I wholeheartedly believe in and it’s nice to see from small companies! I think once I finish the teas I currently have, I’ll be trying these out.
Your Dream Desk
These are just too cute and I love some cute characters. The biggest thing is that I really don’t need anything like this anymore, but a cute idea for stocking stuffers!
I’m not sure who made these, but I LOVE how pretty and classic this purse is!! I could never have a white purse (I’m just not that person), but I loved it. It was very tempting to come home with it!
Little Pink Brick House is such a great store, I look forward to going back again!
There are a lot of great brands, plus I know they’re adding new brands all the time. It’s worth checking out if you are in the Etobicoke (Royal York & Queensway) area. Can’t wait to be back, and so happy that I was able to check them out during this cute event.
What brand company is your favourite?
