Life :: Apartment Update

Well, I’ve been officially moved in for two weeks. And really, not much has changed. Everything [for the most part] is out of it’s box. I have books really that are still in the box, and most of my baking knick knacks [mainly because I’m not sure where I want them…] are still in a box.

Right now, I’m torn because I want to paint, so I don’t want everything in it’s “right” place. I don’t want to have to re-move everything around. But on the other hand, I don’t really have the money to paint right now either. Hmmm, just had a thought… Mom’s giving me some money from the selling of the house. I’ve already used half of it to pay off the car. I might as well use that money for the painting and house things! Brilliant idea, Jasmine. Now to just figure out colours and when this can happen!

I think I have a vague idea for the rooms. The bathroom, the accessories I bought are going along a zen, outdoorsy vibe [aka tree shower curtain], so I want to make the walls a creamy colour. Light, and airy.

For the bedroom, I’m really into green and blue… and coral, but I don’t think I want a room in coral. I’m leaning more to the teal side of life. That’d be really pretty, and nothing to drastic or dark. Should I do the accent wall in here? Do the closet in coral??? I don’t know. I don’t want to have to redo it in a couple months either. But right now, coral makes me happy.

The living room.. That’s the toughy. Do I do an accent wall? My furniture is going to be black [right now half is blue] so pretty much anything goes with that. I have no idea what I want to do here, especially since my dining room is pretty much in my living room. Do I separate them? Bahh so many decisions. But at least the hardest one of whether I’ll even paint it is over.
