The day to celebrate your Mom is coming up!
It’s been a while since I’ve done one of these but things have just lined up so it felt right to do one, especially because I have found some AMAZING things I would love to receive as a Mom. Bonus: they’re all small Mom-run businesses!
Relaxation for Mom
Jones Lounge Candle Co.
This suggestion won’t be new for anyone who’s been around my page for a while. Jones Lounge Candles! These are still some of my favourite candles. Amanda’s updated her brand labels so they look sleek and modern.
Amanda will be at the following markets before Mother’s Day, but reach out to her on Instagram if you can’t make the markets or want more information. I’ve also got a large breakdown of her candles right here.
Meg’s Octopus Garden in Burlington next weekend (May 4). She will also be at Ancaster Fairgrounds Mother’s Day weekend if you want to grab something in person.
Two Of The Earth Tallow
I cannot rave about this brand enough. I am fully on board the tallow train, as you can read about in my post from a couple of weeks ago here. Go with the whipped tallow for a more luxurious feel to pamper Mom this Mother’s Day.
Little Pink Brick House vendors
They’ve updated some of their vendors since I last wrote about them (I could probably just do a post every couple of months to keep you updated!) but I know that you can grab Two of the Earth tallow still there, plus they now have a cute pottery vendor, candiceramics. Do you think I can grab one for myself and just give it to Andrew to wrap for me?
A great selection of teas, lifestyle items, and some delicious-looking foods. Worth the visit, Rosanna and her employees are the sweetest!
She’s also hosting a Tote Bag workshop, where you can make a custom bag right before Mother’s Day. You can buy tickets here, for only $26 and include a $10 gift card to Little Pink Brick House.

ZenMama Yoga
Mom wants to get into yoga but doesn’t know where to start. Or she find it hard to make it to an hour-long class? Check out ZenMama yoga. I bought this deck at the yoga show last year and it’s great! I enjoy that they have meditations, broken into specific areas of the body and for tasks you’d be doing anyway. Things like bathing the kids are tied to 3 yoga moves that you can do.

Cookbooks For Mom
Kitten & the Bear Cookbook is on MY list. I found this cute little bakery back in 2014. I can’t remember but it was before kids and when I still lived in Etobicoke. Wandering down Queen St. one afternoon I stumbled upon them (when they were still in Parkdale). Their scones and jam are the best that I ever had. Unfortunately, I have never been able to recreate these golden pieces of perfection. I reminisce about them all the time and when I’m in the area I try to stop in to pick some up. I’m super proud that they’ve come so far and have their cookbook now so you know I’m going to support!
The Heirloomed Kitchen Cookbook is a review that I’ve got coming up and it’s so very, very pretty. I love Ashley’s story and has a lovely selection of home-cooked, hearty foods.

Ten & Co sponge cloths
Ten & Co is currently moving so unfortunately aren’t shipping any orders until May 9. But I feel like this list would be remiss without mentioning them! Their tea towel + sponge cloth sets are my absolute favourite things. Christen’s designs are always so cute. You can check out orders that I’ve made here. I have a couple of others on my Instagram.
Full Bloom Journals
You know I love a good journal but sometimes the blank space can be daunting to some. So a guided journal is a great alternative to help clear your mind and thoughts. Full Bloom offers guided self-care and self-reflection journals. As 2024 is the year of self-growth for me, this is going to be something I’d love to check out. She also offers an affirmation deck she’s currently revamping, so I’m keeping my eye out for that one.

What’s your favourite thing for Mom?
I know I’d just be happy with a sweet card and maybe a little time off from making a meal. Or laundry. But I’d love to receive any of these things, or anything on my Amazon book wish list.
We have a busy Mother’s Day weekend as we’re hosting Kaiden’s 7th birthday party the day before. Wish me luck. I’ll definitely a little bit of time off to recoup that day!
Happy Mother’s Day!
