I might not do a lot of shopping at Target, but when I do, it’s for the shoes.
So, I’ve been a little bit naughty with my spending. This past month I’ve bought 2 different pairs of shoes for 2 different kind of events. But, both times, Target has come through for me.
The first pair was a pair of wedges for work. A basic black peep toe wedge that’s good for summer and still able to wear with a pair of dress pants or a work skirt. Checked off everything on my list: not too high, comfortable, a wedge heel, looks good on and on the cheaper end of the spectrum.
The second pair was a bit of a splurge, and a total fluke buy that makes me think that they were made for me. I went to Michael Kors (similar to this one but different colours) first, and as much as I loved the shoes I tried on, I just wasn’t sold. Maybe I am learning something about not being such a impulse shopper, and sticking to my budget of no-spending. They were on sale, and gorgeous. White, blue and brown strappy sandals. I walked away. Walking to my car, I have to walk through Target and spur of the moment [ok so maybe I haven’t learnt anything] decided to have a walk through the shoe department. And that’s when I saw them. A random pair lying around, and it was in my size. I couldn’t find a box for it, I had no idea where they came from or the price. Then I saw the large sign saying SHOES 40% OFF. Score. They came home with me. I was extremely excited to break them out for the National Ballet’s Mad Hot Gala 2 weeks ago.
