Today is really the first day of my new outlook on life. I’m pretty pumped, I must say. I’m exercising. And not my usual half ass crap.
Welcome to day one in my new life. This morning I woke up at 6.30, and actually got out of bed. Brushed teeth, got dressed and went for a jog… Kind of. It was rather pathetic, as I knew it would be. I’m not a runner. Never have been, but have always loved the ‘idea’ of being one. I’ve tried it on and off throughout the years, but this time feels different. I’m finally ready to embrace change, and routine, and waking up early. In all pathetic-ness, I ran from the door of my building, to probably the 4th house down the street, died and had to walk… I then walked to the end of the road, turned around and jogged back. And made it all the way to my building’s front door. WOOT. Progress already. I then went upstairs, dropped to my yoga mat and did some stretches, 4 pushups, 35 sit ups, and some yoga. I made myself a smoothie, hopped into the shower and got ready for work. I’m super impressed at how much energy I have. This is the high that everyone talks about? Bring it on! Now I just need to keep it up for 3 weeks [and beyond]. I think I’m most excited for the improvement that I want to see. Also, I have started to take the B12 vitamins… I fell out of habit with those too. But time to bring it all back. I’m super excited to wake up in the morning. And go to bed at night. Life is pretty sweet right now.
