Beauty :: Benefit ‘Six” Kit

This was a splurge buy awhile ago from Shopper’s Drug Mart, and I couldn’t help myself when I saw the contents. All were things that I’ve never tried from Benefit before (other than the Bad Gal Lash) and it ended up in my shopping cart.

For those of you who don’t know, Benefit is such an adorably cute, albeit higher end brand, and they’re products actually live up to the hype that you find online. I’ve used Benefit for close to 5 years now, and rarely have a complaint. Of course, I haven’t tried everything in their extensive brand, but a good few. Luckily for me, I was able to get a picture of the Benetint right before my cat decided to send it crashing to the ground and ruining it.
Benetint – Doubling as a cheek and lip stain, it’s a liquid and is applied with what seems like a nail brush. I tried it as a cheek stain and felt that it didn’t look very natural to me. Although I might just not have been quick enough to rub it in properly. I preferred it as a lip stain. That made my lips look naturally more flush and was a quick step before running out to door to make me look more alive. Would I be purchasing the full size? Probably not, because it lasts forever. If I found another kit that has it, I might scoop that up instead.
Bad Gal Lash – Before They’re Real there was Bad Gal. Two completely different mascaras, and I think that I’m going to do a review post comparing the 2 of them and which I prefer later, but needless to say this mascara I used to own in blue. This is the first time that I’ve owned and used it in black, and I will say I think the black formula is better than the blue. Would I repurchase the full size? Yes, yes I would even if the price tag makes me cry.

Dandelion – This is the first time I’ve used one of their blushers, although not after many yearning glances at them in the beauty section. This blush is a slight pink that does add a natural flush of colour, more so than the Benetint in my case. For me, it’s the perfect amount for every day use, and it’s pretty! Would I repurchase? Yes, but I might want to try some of their other colours first!

Girl Meets Pearl – This is one product that I don’t use a lot, or barely. I have High Beam, which is also a luminizer of Benefit, so I guess I don’t really need another luminizer, but here we are. This is more of a cream based product, so it’s a little easier to control during application. I like it, but I do think that it’s on par with High Beam. Probably don’t need both products in your makeup kit.
The Porefessional – If you’ve never used a primer before, you probably are missing out. Although, my make up routine is way to simple right now that it doesn’t include it, when going out and wanting a perfect face, primers definitely make that happen. This one is definitely nice. It has a smooth, matte feel to it, and it helps make your face makeup last just that little extra needed on a night out. For me, I don’t use primers enough any more to make the purchase worth it, but it is definitely one that I would use again. For years I used to use Benefit’s “That Gal” which smells amazing.
Would you try anything from this list?
