I love the Archer & Olive notebooks and finally splurged.
First off, the Archer & Olive branding is so pretty. I’ve been following them on Instagram for a decent amount of time. She posts layouts and it’s definitely inspiring! I couldn’t get enough of the packaging.
I knew that I definitely wanted to get some notebooks. But what actually prompted me to make the purchase? The acrylograph pens. They look like a lot of fun to use and the colours are so pretty. I went with the Jewel selection of colours since they were a bit more muted. A happy coincidence is that they seem to really match my newest Happy Planner for 2021.
I haven’t used them yet because I totally purchased them with no idea of how to use them and they’re just a smidge intimidating. More like a paint pen then an ink pen. But I watched her InstaStory on using them and they seem fairly simple. I do love the packaging they come in since they have to lay flat for storage.
They come in two sizes; 0.7mm and 0.3mm tips. I got the 0.7mm tip because I figured I could use something else for finer details. The set comes with 2 extra tips and I love that they work equally on light or dark papers.
I am a huge fan of the bee on their one cover so that was instantly in my cart. And I couldn’t say no to the sparkly crescent moon and it’s even more sparkly in person. I went with a white paper and a kraft paper inside. I love the look of kraft paper so I’m extremely excited to use that one.
The paper quality is great. Thick and crisp, but not cumbersome. Also, these are lay flat notebooks which are so great for working on. I find not enough notebooks are like that when ALL notebooks should be.
The pen holder tabs are a great touch, and the 2 ribbon bookmarks are so pretty. I love the little ampersand charm at the end of them too.
Archer & Olive pays attention to all the fine details and does not disappoint in quality.
I know that mostly these are used as Bullet Journals, but I definitley think that these will become more of a scrap journal (if I ever finish my current one).
So far – I have absolutely no complaints with anything about this order. I will post a little update on Instagram once I attempt to use the pens. I look forward to playing around with them and using them on my journals!
What do you think of these Archer & Olive purchases?
