Hmmm… I’m thinking of trying to incorporate more fashion into this blog. I realize that this is a blog about my life, but I want fashion to be more of a staple in my life. Besides, now that I don’t really have anything to bitch about gossip-wise, what else am I going to do with my life? This might be a little bit easier now that I actually have to take care with what I put on to go to work as I just can’t wear any old thing. I still wear jeans (because this company is casual) but nicer tops, not so many sweaters/hoodies. That’s the one thing I cannot WAIT for in the summer — Not so much clothing. Nothing bothers me more than having to worry about layering, and what looks good. And then I can wear my new dress and skirt without having to freeze while walking my ass home. What a concept. I don’t really know what I can do other than post what I’m wearing everyday on my blog. The only thing is that I don’t have a lot of clothes… Maybe this will prompt me to start wearing more of what I do have.
On other exciting news, the purchase of the familial oven/stove has got me thinking about kitchens. And how I want MY kitchen when I move out and buy my own house. It’s going to be (hopefully) amazing. I don’t think I could live in a place that wasn’t eventually going to be my dream home. Well.. I mean that if I buy a place, I’d want it to be the absolute best it could be. Hopefully I’ll be able to save money on the actual cost of the house because it’ll be dilapitated, and old. And then I can use the saving there to put into fixing it up. That’s my goal. Right now, kitchens are what I’m looking into the most. My kitchen… I’m torn about a couple things.
Stainless steel counters, or granite? Gas stove in the island or by the wall? Stainless steel apron sink, or just a white one? Double or single? Colour of cabinets? There are just so many questions. I’m roughly trying to cost things out, but that’s kind of hard because I don’t have actual measurements… One of my friend’s has actually bought property. He makes a crapload annually so he can actually afford it. He bought a condo that he’s going to flip when it’s finally built. I wish I had the money to do that right now. I don’t make half what he makes a year, so that might be awhile in coming for me. I can barely live on my own right now (yay for parents!) let alone buy a place. It makes me wonder how people out there do it… Anyone with the secret please let me know.
Don’t you just love how the mind wanders? I started off talking fashion, and ended up talking about designing a kitchen. I guess that’s just wha’s on my mind at the moment. I would love to go on an open house tour and see amazingly designer houses and take ideas from them!
Until next time,
xoxo
