I’ve been a real party animal since I’ve been single. Which is amazing. I love going out, and I’ve been dying to go dancing. As of yet, there has been little dancing, but lots of drinking. There’s going to be a dancing night out soon, hopefully sooner rather than later!
Two Weekends Ago:
Friday: The guys from the group invited me out (solo) to go to Guu with them, and it was so much fun. A new Guu had just opened in a different location, and we had hoped that it wouldn’t be super busy because no one would have heard of it yet, boy were we wrong. We ended up waiting forever for a table (close to the 3 hour wait limit they tell you when you have a fairly big group) it was soo good. Another expensive night, but it was fun. Ate good food, good conversation, good drinks. Mm. It was a little eventful because Steven drove us all to the subway and then we subwayed into Toronto, and then the waiting. Afterwards, a couple of the guys decided that it would be better to walk and get a car that they had access too to drive home from Toronto. 3 of us decided that was not a good idea (of which I was grateful for because I don’t know what I would have done…. Well.. cabbed it to ‘Sauga alone, I guess) and we cabbed to the subway and Steven’s car. But that’s not where the excitement ended! Apparently Steven’s car has a glitch somewhere that makes his headlights turn on in the cold. Which they did that night, so his battery died. Woot. Jon called CAA, but it was an hour long wait, so we were able to flag someone down to boost us. And we were good after that. Phew. It was so cold waiting in the car!! And I was wearing actual clothes, that were warmer than usual!
Saturday: Jo’s party was a little bit of dancing, but not enough to actually kill the craving. It was fun though. It was in Oakville and I’d never partied in Oakville before. We started the night with some comedy at the Yuk-Yuk’s. Most of them were good, so we laughed and I ate an amazing raspberry mousse cheesecake thing. SOOOO GOOD. It was good because it wasn’t a complete cheesecake. Just chunks of it so I could pick those out. With vanilla cake… mm. I had a moment with my cake that’s for sure. After the comedy, we went next door to a sports bar, and drank, talked and laughed. It was an interesting group of peoples, and I was getting a little tipsy. It was good. Most people were starting to leave around 1am, but Jo still had alcohol leftover, which she paid for (she bought a bottle) and so she was like we have to finish this! Since there were only a few people leftover, and some had to drive, it pretty much fell to one guy Mike, and I. At the time, I didn’t really mind that. Then we decided to head over the the “club” that’s in the same complex to dance and one girl’s boyfriend was a bouncer for there. We got there so late though that it was pretty much empty. Good times though. I got home, and almost hit the floor, I had drank way more than I thought. Especially since we didn’t really do anything to work it off, just sitting down. Bend over, don’t come back up. Slept realllly good that night.
Last Weekend:
Last weekend was a little bit intense. I had a lot of baking to do, but it seemed that everything was happening that Saturday. It was my Oma’s 80th birthday celebration, Jon was throwing a party, and then I got semi-invited to a LG Fashion week afterparty. So many choices!! Well, I had decided to go to the house party, which was good because the afterparty fell through anyways. Oma’s party was at my house, but I stayed for the dinner and dessert then headed over to Jon’s. Kat was able to pick me up on her way from another party. It was an interesting time, because everyone was drinking and having fun, and listening to waay old music from the ’90’s, some of which I didn’t even know! Easy to forget sometimes that we aren’t all the same age. I got a little drunker than I expected but it was fine, because it was just sitting around again. Watched some tv, never got to finish the movies that were playing because Jon always changed them before they ended… Good times.
This weekend seems to be shaping up to be a reallly good one, I can’t wait for it to start!
