Labels Make it Official

Weekend update! In my super exciting life.

Friday was super chill. I went to le grocery store to pick up some baking stuff for my black forest cake that I was making that weekend. And I did my nails. And watched Game of Thrones. Talked on the phone… Made the most awkward phone call of my life. Honestly, I don’t even know how it started. Andrew and I were talking about labels. I told him that I was fine with the label… and he goaded me into saying it, and asking him.

Me: I’m ok with the label
Him: What label?
Me: The only label that matters. =P
Him: Hmmm not sure what label you’re talking about
Me: Are you going to make me ask you?
Him: Yup.
Me: Really?? Isn’t the boy supposed to ask the girl?
Him: Nope
Me: Jerk. Wanna be ma boyfriend? =P
Him: Oh and I want a phone call at the least.

So I called him.. and then couldn’t say it. It was the most idiotic phone call of life. I don’t know why I couldn’t say it but I got all emotional, and it didn’t help that he kept laughing at me and how I was struggling. And the more I struggled *and failed* the harder it got to say it. He knew what I was trying to say too, and wasn’t helping me out at all. Until I hung up on him.. haha. Then he kinda caved and answered me without making me try to say it. *How kind of him*. So now, it’s done. We are official official. It’s not on Facebook, just because I hate having it on there. I’m so ridiculously happy, although I was nervous to see him all day Saturday. It feels so.. right though. I’m just very aware how… “together” we are when out with his friends. About half of his friends have girlfriends, the other half doesn’t. I’m not huge on PDA anyways, so it works out.

Saturday I get up to make a cake, woot black forest, and then get ready to head over to his house. I actually had to make my own way there (which is whatevs, taking the bus is pretty easy) but awesomely enough his buddy Nik offered to pick me up since he was in Oakville anyways, which was really nice of him. It worked out better anyways because Andrew didn’t finish work until 6 anyways. Then we went out for dinner, and ate until we pretty much burst. Mmm, I love Japanese-Thai fusion places. Especially all you can eat, because you can get so many different flavours, you never get bored. So good. Mm. Then we went to Sobey’s because Adam wanted ice cream… that I don’t think he ate that night anyways. Then we chilled at Adam’s house *his dog is gorgeous* and watched movies and played fooseball. Andrew and I were the first ones to leave, and we went back to his house, and chilled downstairs watching tv. Then because his parents were home, they don’t like us staying in the same room together, we went to bed. And I slept awesome. Haha.

Sunday. His mom is so beyond cute, she made French toast for breakfast, and showed me his baby pictures. I disappointed her though because I didn’t give the appropriate coo-ing reactions babies (and esp your boyfriend as a baby) usually illicits. I was like… I don’t like babies. Babies don’t ignite maternal insticts of cuteness in me. But regardless, she still showed them to me, and then went upstairs all the while going “I’m so disappointed…” I felt so bad… but they really didn’t do anything for me. He was a baby. Haha. Nothing to exciting there. His family is so nice though. Then we went for a walk to meet his grandparents (on his mom’s side) and we stayed and talked to them for a bit, and then went back to go out on Lake Ontario on his boat. Which was fun. We went with two of his friends (Alex and Dennis) and it was COLD. I had a sweater, but was still cold. I got splashed in the face with water *which isn’t shocking, because water hates me* but it didn’t help my warmth situation. Finally the sun came out after we finished with the boat, and we chilled at McDonalds eating burgers and ice cream. There was a beast Great Dane outside so we pet the dog *Bruiser, fawn, 3yo* SO PRETTY. I want one so bad, and so does Andrew. *cough* It suddenly got really hot while we were eating our ice cream, so that was cool. And nice. Then we went back to his house and just chilled downstairs until dinner time. Then after dinner he dropped me off at home so I could finish my cake, hang out with Paul and shower. Although I didn’t get anything that I was technically supposed to get done, it was a great weekend, and it was awesome to see Paul too. I haven’t seen him in what seems like AGES.

I just remembered that this was supposed to be the weekend that I went to New York… how easily I forgot that. Have to say though, I had a kick ass weekend not going to New York. If I had gone to New York, I don’t want to think about what might not have happened…

Things definitely happen for a reason!
xoxo
