It’s that time of year for Christmas shopping!
Who’s on your Christmas gifting list this year? Friends, family? Just the kiddos?
This year, Andrew and I have scaled back on all the gifting. We have very few people on our lists. Generally, we shop for family (our parents, and the kids). I have a select few friends I send a small gift to. This year, our Christmas gift to the family is our trip to Mexico for 2 weeks and a couple of small things under the tree from Santa. The boys got a new Amazon tablet before the trip that I’ve been waiting to gift them since last year (yeah, that stayed hidden in my closet for almost a full year).
There are always new items on my radar that would make great gifts at this time of year. And the best part: they’re either local, Canadian, or small businesses! Most of them are Canadian other than Goose and Pebble.
SleepGift
I’ve been interested in EMF blocking since about 2021. I believe that a lot of our health issues stem from constantly being blasted with radio frequencies. I’ve turned off the 5G on our phones because Andrew complained about headaches. Of course, that doesn’t stop us from being surrounded outside our homes.
The Sleep Gift beanies are super cute! These are not your average tinfoil hat. I like that they have ones for kids too. I like the idea of EMF-blocking blankets for sleeping or even just cuddling on the sofa.
Another EMF-blocking item I’ve wanted to purchase for a long time is Shungite. I love the kits that SleepGift offer. For my family, I would purchase the water purifier stones and probably the pendant.
Now that I’m wearing a smartwatch, I need more protection on my actual person. It might be all in my head, but I find that wearing the watch has had effects on my body. I’m curious to see if using Shungite would help mitigate the effects I’m feeling.
SleepGift has kindly offered a 20% off code! Use the code SLEEPHEALTH20 for 20% off
The Jones Lounge Candles
I’m still obsessed with the Jones Lounge candles! Now that the nights are starting so early, I’m burning candles again while doing tasks around the house.
I’ve been using up last year’s holiday collection, (Felt Festive). I love how it makes the kitchen seem so much cozier while I’m doing the copious amount of dishes.
Here’s a peek at her 2024 Christmas collection!
Holiday Slice – Notes: Bottom – Vanilla Cake, Top – Caramel, Middle – Cinnamon Sugar
Putting Up The Tree – Notes: Bottom – Musk, Top – Pine, Middle – Wood
Twisted Peppermint – Notes: Bottom – Sugar, Top – Wintergreen, Middle – Peppermint
She also has some classics in stock for black Friday, so get on that. Golden Hour, Rose Aperitif, and PJ’s Until Noon are available online!
She can be found at the following markets for the rest of the year:
- Burlington Handmade Market – Saturday, December 7, 10-2 pm Corpus Christi High School
- Bronte Christmas Countdown Market – Saturday, December 14, 10 – 3 pm Walton Memorial United Church

Goose and Pebble Custom Portraits
Melissa is an artist based in Australia and she creates custom portraits in her adorable art style.
The process is super easy; upload a picture you love and she’ll recreate it. A perfect idea for a unique holiday gift for a loved one.
This would be a great idea for grandparents to have a one-of-a-kind portrait of their grandkids.
I love the way mine turned out and couldn’t be happier with it up on the wall! She also creates other cute stationery ideas that would be great for stocking stuffers. She also does portraits of pets, if you have a fur baby.
You can find her Instagram here.
RevolutionHer
I’m a huge fan of RevolutionHer and can’t wait to go and peruse her newest Oakville location. I want to grab another WildPier exfoliation mitt when they’re back in stock. She hosts some great-sounding events (although I’ve yet to be able to make one… I’m usually working those days!). Some other amazing brands they carry are:
Hello Joyous beauty products that are great for your skin and don’t use harmful ingredients. Unfortunately, they didn’t work for me, but the cream was nice! Her dry shampoo gets rave reviews, and she’s an amazing person.
I purchased the taster trio of honey from Drizzle for the boys’ teacher’s gifts – and it sounds delicious. I’m going to have to get some for myself. I also purchased a super cute romantic tropes mug by Collier Crafts.
The Oakbark & Chrome Weekender bag is on my wishlist (currently on sale). I love the idea of the brand founders being equestrians and the use of the stirrup as their logo branding. But I do not need a bag like that and they aren’t cheap! So, onto the wishlist, it goes.
K’s Kreation’s
A small-town vendor, she creates cute gift bags, hot chocolate bombs, and wood laser-cut items. She’s based in Huron Perth, Ontario and will be at the Last Stop Christmas Shop in Mitchell on December 8, 2024. Her holiday soap bars are cute as well.
You can find her on Facebook.
Even though my Christmas list is brief, I still want thoughtful gifts.
I have a couple more things that I’m interested in for gifts. I’m looking at the Beauty From Bees magnesium spray, among other things. I did get some toys (Lego for Kaiden and a Mack truck for Eli) for under the tree for Santa. The Edwards are all going to see The Lion King on stage for our family present. I usually try to find an ornament for the tree for each family but I don’t know if I’ll have time. I generally find those at the One of A Kind show (that I’m missing right now).
Who’s on your Christmas gifting list? Do any of these sound like something you’d get for them? I hope this helps!
