Short answer: Yes.
Charlotte Tilbury is my newest beauty obsession and I can’t wait to try more of her line. I mean, I don’t think I’m quite sold on her skincare line *yet* but also probably never because of the cost. But I can get behind her makeup line!
I didn’t buy all of this at one time, I’ve slowly been adding to the collection through samples and deals.
But the last purchase was a little bit larger. Generally, I’ve purchased off Sephora, but I downloaded the Charlotte Tilbury app and sucked me right in. Mainly I wanted the discount, so it was worth it.
So let’s break down what I’ve tried by Charlotte Tilbury:
Beauty Light Wand in Peach-gasm
This was a little bit of an impulse buy but it had obviously been showing up on my Instagram feed for a long time and I just wanted to give it a go. I like it. It’s been my go-to “dewy” blush which I then put the Nars Orgasm powder over to kind of set and give it a punch. I sometimes use this more as a highlighter as it’s got that sheen you see in highlighters.
I’m currently trying out an ELF wand that maybe could pass as a dupe for this, but right now.. would I repurchase? Probably. Do I need to? No. Should I for my wallet’s sake? Also no. I like that application, a little goes a long way so it should last a decent amount of time too.
Lip Cheat lip liners
These are my go-to liners. I don’t use anything else. And I never used to line my lips but once I used this, I’ve never looked back. I first got the Iconic Nude back in 2020? 2021? and just used it as is (this was definitely influenced by In The Frow) and honestly, I’m just obsessed. I love how easy they glide, the colour, the fact that they all have a lipstick match and the website makes it easy to choose. I now have it in Pillow Talk, Walk of No Shame, and Iconic Nude. I’ve repurchased Iconic Nude as well, and for the first time in my life, I finished a lip liner.
These I definitely recommend and will obviously be a repurchase.
K.I.S.S.I.N.G. Lip Stick
Which brings me to her lipsticks! I think that Charlotte Tilbury’s lipsticks are my favourites. There, I said it. I have a ton of them, but the Look of Love Kissing lipstick in Nude Romance was a freebie for spending over a certain amount. It’s a full-size freebie, so amazing. It’s such a pretttttttty tube and the colour is a beautiful nude.
Hot Lips 2 Lip Stick
I have this one in the shade, JK Magic, which is her icon collaboration representing JK Rowling. I mean, the colour is a stunning nude rose and matches Pillow Talk for the liner. The tube itself is so pretty and I would have bought it for that alone. The fact that it’s JK Rowling and Harry Potter is just an added bonus. I know that will get me some shade, but the woman still created something that has spanned generations regardless of how you feel about her politics. It’s one of my go-to lip colours!
Matte Revolution Lip Stick
I have this one in Pillow Talk, Pillow Talk Medium, and Walk of No Shame. Honestly, these are so smooth and have great pigment. They’re perfect for every day and are decent while drinking and eating. Although, the nudes do require a reapply more than Walk of No Shame.
Airbrush Flawless Finish Powder
I purchased this as a mini and really enjoyed using this, so once I hit pan I knew that I would be getting the full size. It’s lightweight, a nice nude colour to help with the shine so it doesn’t add anything to my skin. I can use it during the summer when I’m darker and in the winter when I go back to being paler. Definitely worth it for me. I also enjoy that it’s not a loose powder, I always feel like I waste so much when it’s loose.
Airbrush Flawless Foundation
This was part of the set with the finish powder (which is what I wanted) which made it a better deal. And I thought, why not try it? Overall, it’s nice. It has decent coverage without feeling heavy on my skin. The colour matching is better when I’m not tanned in the summer, so I’ll probably use it more in the winter. The only downfall to it is the scent! I found it to have a floral fragrance and I’m just not about that, especially that close to my nose. I won’t say I’m allergic to it, but I will say it does act as a deterrent. I’m going to keep using it and make sure that I’m not allergic to it, but time will tell. I still am pretty obsessed with the Tarte Hydroflex Serum Foundation I’m still using.
Charlotte Tilbury Magic Cream
I’m generally not one for extremely high-end skin care or companies that do both makeup and skincare. I find that generally if they do well at one, the other takes a dip. But I didn’t hate this cream. I don’t know if I would try her actual cleansers or other skincare because they’re expensive and I don’t know really anything about them. I received the Magic Cream as either a deluxe sample or through the 100 pt reward. It lasted me probably 2 months and it felt really nice under makeup. It was moisturizing and didn’t break out my skin. I don’t know if I could justify the price tag for the full size ($125CDN) but if you have the money, I think it would be worth it. Just not worth it enough to break the bank for it.
So, am I obsessed with Charlotte Tilbury?
I think you’ll have to be the judge of that. I know that her lipsticks are my go-to’s and will be for a very long time. The colours, the creaminess, the stay power, I love it all.
If there’s ever any samples, you know I’m going to be swooping them up at Sephora! I also have her app, but I’m probably going to delete it so I’m not TEMPTED into buying things I really don’t need, like her holiday advent calendar (which doesn’t seem to be available anymore but looked like a beauty!). But I resisted.
I have a couple more beauty posts that I hope to get out before the end of the year, plus a lot of books read. Follow on Instagram for more up-to-date posting and mini-posts about what I’m reading and the goings on in my life!
