Who’s ready for an exciting Burt’s Bees haul reveal!?
I was very lucky to get all of this for Christmas and honestly, it makes me so excited for all these goodies. Let’s get into the good stuff and see everything that was in the gift bag.
The Makeup
I’ve been using the cream eyeshadow for the past year as a base/primer for the rest of my eye shadow and it works like a treat. It’s a subtle colour that goes on smoothly and lightly. It’s so cool to me how a cream can feel like a powder instantly. There was another eye shadow in a rose cream colour, which looks more champagne than the brown that I am using.
There’s also a cute cream blush. It looks like such a pretty colour!
Can you even mention Burt’s Bees without talking about lip care?
Everyone knows about their awesome lip balms, but I’ve been really impressed with their lip colours as well. I’m not a real lip glass fan (I definitely prefer the matte look of lipstick) but their tinted lip balms are so nice. The flavours look super fun and tasty.
I love the lip butter. I’m using the Black Raspberry & Hibiscus from last year and smells amazing so I have no doubts that Wild Rose and Berry will smell just as good. It’s completely sheer but packs a big moisture punch with a huge hit of scent.
The lip shimmers are a nice, moisturizing step up from the balms, adding just that touch of colour without compromising on the moisture. I doubt that the Champagne colour would actually show up on my skin tone, but the Caramel is definitely up my neutral alley.
The Skincare
I love skincare. I know that I’m currently on a hiatus from anything other than the more “medical” stuff right now, but I cannot wait to try this out when my skin figures it’s shit out.
I have used the night cream before and I remember it being quite nice. I was using their cucumber mint foaming face wash but finished it just as my face was starting to break out again. I’m excited to try out the serum!
The wipes are great for travel and do a good job. I haven’t tried the face masks and I’ve heard great things about the Hemp body lotion!
My favourite lip balm flavour is the vanilla bean but the coconut pear sounds like it would be delicious!
