I don’t talk that much (on here) about the fact that I’m an absolute nerd.
If there’s one thing that came out of the pandemic, it’s the comfortability I’ve gained with my nerd self. I’m definitely more open and talkative about the fact that I’m into fandom, comics, anime and manga. It’s been something that I’ve never really let other people know about (in the real world) but I’ve definitely broken that barrier down.
I’m talking openly about the fact that I read fanfiction, watch a lot of movies, and obsess over characters. In a way, TikTok has been great for that because their algorithm definitely panders to that side of me and has shown me that I’m not the only one!
I’ve found some amazing artists, creators, and small businesses through that app!
The Avis Alley is one such small business that I found and I’m obsessed.
So, a little background. I’m obsessed with the Winter Soldier/Bucky Barnes from the Marvel Cinematic Universe and I’ve been wanting a shirt for a long time, but I haven’t found the one yet. I’m picky! I don’t want them to be too over the top or in your face because while I love my fandoms, I honestly don’t need people asking me about it? Is that weird?
I much prefer it to be something that I know what it is, but no one else needs to know. So these are absolute perfection.
They’re a little in your face, but still understated? I bought the Steve Rogers, Loki, and Bucky Barnes one because why not? Loki and Bucky are my ultimate favourites because of reasons. (Dark haired murder babies) And who is gonna say no to Cap?
I also nerdily bought the tote with the actors’ names on it because I love them too and I love a good tote bag. And apparently, I have no shame coming out of this pandemic lockdown.
She also sells Harry Potter and Twilight related items, if that’s something you’re into!
The only downside is that she only ships within the US so I had to use Cross Border Pickups to get a US-based address to use (which is a service that was recommended to me and I do recommend it as well!).
I’ll probably have other small businesses related to fandoms to check out, but I definitely recommend her stuff!
