Valentine’s Day! Like I said, rebels that we are, Andrew and I celebrated last night instead.
It was too cute. He jumped in the bedroom at 7 wishing me a Happy Valentine’s day, and I even got a cat massage at the same time. Love my two boys. Even though I really didn’t want to be up yet, but I had to get up to get ready for school.
A normal day otherwise, I was really looking forward to going out! We were going to have a lovely romantic dinner at the Keg. We rarely ever buy steak to make at home, so when we do go out, that’s usually what we splurge on.
When I got home, Andrew was already there, busily making phone calls before we were ready to leave. And what was sitting on my desk for me? Such a lovely bouquet of flowers! This boy, when he wants to romance it up, he can. And he knows my obsession with all things cards so he also had one of those tucked among the flowers.
Then it was time to head to the Keg. We didn’t make a reservation, but we only had about a 10 minute wait for a table. We decided to grab an appetizer (I hadn’t really eaten anything all day, running around too much!) the baked brie with crostini. Oh. My. Gawd. I love brie, and this was delicious. It was the perfect size for 2 people, and the jelly and pesto was amazing. So many yums. Our waiter was extremely nice, and brought us extra bread and butter as well, so the last piece of brie was shoved onto a piece of bread.
And! Shock of all shocks, I got Andrew to take a picture of my outfit. Could this be the start of something? I always feel so incredibly awkward when taking pictures in public, maybe that’s something I need to work on this year! Vlogging and being more comfortable in front of the camera. I’m also sorry about the quality of the picture. This was taken with my phone, and it was dark – in the hallway and outside. Darn you winter! I did use the same makeup scheme from my beauty post this week, find that here!
