Good morning lovelies!
And there goes another weekend, zoom! I was sadly, less than productive. I didn’t get to any of the cooking that I was going to do, Andrew was too busy to put up the lights [because I purchased the wrong ones…]. I did get some homework done, but it was wholly unproductive.
The main thing from this weekend was it was the Worn Journal presents Black Cat Ball event. Briana and I went, for $10 it was hard to say no. Worn is a independent Canadian [Toronto] based fashion journal. I had never heard of it before, and now I must say that I’m hooked. With your $10 ticket, you got a free copy of the issue that they were launching.
It was cat themed [awesome], black and white and 80’s music all night. They had a streaming video of different dance movies [think Flashdance, Breakfast Club, Honey] with cat heads stuck on to the lead faces. It was rather amusing, and I spent a lot of time looking at it and wanting to watch those movies, stat. It was rather interesting and a fun night, even though it snowed, and trying to find parking in Toronto sucked. It was funny because it was rather early in the night when we arrived (almost 10) and it felt rather like a high school dance, where no one really danced or talked to anyone other than their cliques. I wish that I had a bigger group to go to these things with, though, as much as I love hanging out with Briana, sometimes some events are nicer with a larger group.
We did meet a couple really nice people, who just randomly introduced themselves to us, and it was fun dancing with them to 80’s music. Briana actually won a raffle prize, I was so close being off by just one ticket!!! But it’s all good, it was a late night, a later night than expected, spent in good company!
